Om! I’m Angelika Lankina.
To my many teachers: thank you. I am what you’ve given me.
I am a 500-HR RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) from the Sivananda lineage. I have a BFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and am pursuing the MA in Yoga Studies at Loyola Marymount University.
I live in Miami, FL and teach Hatha & Yin Yoga with breathwork, sound, and mindfulness techniques. I’m a sound practitioner with the South Beach Sound Healing Orchestra; in other contexts, I’m a poet (mostly sacred or Bhakti poetry) and writer (mostly sci-fi/fantasy). I am a student of Jo Phee and continue my yoga teaching education with the specialty 300 hours in Yin Yoga Diploma, focusing on functional anatomy and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
My first exposure to yoga was at the age of 12. My time spent living at a Sivananda ashram during my 20s taught me the joys of embodying the yogic lifestyle and studying Eastern philosophy. I owe yoga my life. The path and discipline of yoga taught me how to heal myself; how to manage depression, anxiety, existential despair; and how to conquer a number of debilitating addictions.
I am a student of infinity, a spiritual scholar. Today, I continue studying Samkhya-Yoga philosophy alongside the various branches of Vedanta and Tantra. I dabble with a lot of wisdom/esoteric traditions and texts in general and started 7YGH in 2023 as a way to digest and share what I’m studying and reading.
